Hey there! I’m Sonja, a fantasy sculpture artist from New London, MN, currently working out of Portland, ME. I seek to create art that imbues the mundane with a dash of the fantastic. Take a look around and let your mind drift into the unknown.
Happenings
At the River Valley Ripple Artist Residency in Granite Falls, MN I had the opportunity to widen my casting skill set with plasticine models, silicon molding, and resin casts.
In September, I collaborated with the Creation Shop in Fergus Falls, MN. During my month-long stay, I threw 175 pounds of clay and crafted nearly 90 pieces.
Now, I’m off to grad school at Maine College of Art & Design to continue expanding my craftsmanship and exploring new concepts.
